Preferred Way
During your visit:
The Preferred Way consists of two hemispheres: a vision assessment and 13-point health evaluation. Your first exam includes dilation and retinal photos, for you to keep, to ensure good health. After the initial exam, eyes are dilated every other year, unless otherwise needed. At the conclusion of the Preferred Way, you will receive a Vision Treatment Plan, outlining Dr. Click's recommendations ranked in the order of importance for your lifestyle. We want to make certain your current vision meets your expectations and your future vision is protected.
Why we are different:
Our office offers the latest in optometric technology to expedite your visit, find the most accurate prescriptions and diagnoses and give you the most comfortable experience. Here are a few ways we enhance eye exams:
- Automated peripheral vision screening test:
Not only does this test examine your side vision, it is a pre-screening for glaucoma. It is one of three glaucoma checks during the Preferred Way. - 100% glare-free exam room:
The exam room houses our glare-free LCD visual screen, making measuring your visual acuities more comfortable and more accurate. - Retinal photography:
We take and print pictures of the back of your eye to document in our digital files and your medical files at home. Your retina will allow Dr. Click to screen you for all eye diseases and your overall health, including high cholesterol, diabetes and hypertension. - Automated precision-measuring system for all eyewear:
Your eyeglasses and sun wear need to look good and function correctly. With the i.Terminal©, our optician will align your lenses and ensure your prescription is centered with your line of vision. - Choice of dilation drops:
We understand dilation can be visually disturbing. If you need to get back to work on a computer, you may choose a drop that takes a few minutes more to dilate your eyes but will not blur your vision. - Alternative eye pressure test:
Instead of the traditional air-puff test to check eye pressures, we use a more comfortable and accurate test.
Along with the latest technology, we also offer you convenience.
- Evening hours:
We are open until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays. - Back-to-back family appointments:
We have reserved family time blocks. You and your family can be seen on the same day, making multiple trips to the optometrist unnecessary. - Online appointment request:
You can request a first, second and third choice of days and times via our Web site 24 hours a day. And you can expect a phone call or e-mail by the next business day to arrange an appointment that fits your schedule. - E-mail confirmation:
Once your appointment is made, an e-mail confirmation along with your specific insurance benefits and initial diagnostic forms will be sent.
